("yo͝orəˈbôrəs") is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. Its was adopted as a symbol in Gnosticism and Hermeticism and most notably in alchemy. This symbol represent the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth.
